WHY PRAY?
A "short" except from Let The Nations Be Glad by John Piper:
Prayer is for the Glory of the Father
Jesus had taught this to his disciples before he left. He had told them, "Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son" (John 14:13). In other words, the ultimate purpose of prayer is that the Father be glorified...
... How then do we glorify Him? Jesus gives the answer in John 15:7, "If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will and it shall be done for you". We pray. We ask God to do for us through Christ what we can't do for ourselves - bear fruit. Then verse 8 gives the result: "By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit." So how is God glorified by prayer? Prayer is the open admission that without Christ we can do nothing. And prayer is the turning away from ourselves to God in the confidence that He will provide the help we need. Prayer humbles us as needy and exalts God as all sufficient.
Prayer is VITAL to our ministry in Ukraine. Please consider partnering with us through prayer. We rely heavily on prayer partners who are willing to pray regularly for God's work in Ukraine and for our family.

General Prayer Requests (these never go out of style and are foundational)
- Above all other requests, our prayer is that our hearts and minds would be filled moment by moment with the the hope and truth of the Gospel.
- That God would build His church in L'viv. That He would bring new believers into the L'viv church community and raise up Ukrainian leaders to shepherd and lead the church. At the end of the day, all that matters is that people trust in Christ alone for their salvation.
- For our spiritual health. We want to walk and live by the leading of the Holy Spirit and to have God at the center of all that we do. We long to have a posture of humility as we approach life and the work God has called us to do. We also long to have a zeal for Christ that is infectious to those around us.
- That God would protect us and bless us. Pray for our safety.
- For our physical health.
- That we would have great wisdom, patience and love towards our children as we seek to raise them up in the Lord in another culture.
- That God would bless and protect our marriage.
- For God to abundantly provide our financial support needs through the families, individuals and churches that have partnered with us in ministry.
